"If there is no passion in your life, then had you really lived?  Find your passion, whatever it may be.  Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you."
~Kate Blackson

Hi beautiful hearts!  The other day I drew my angel cards to begin my day and the first deck revealed "Move Forward Fearlessly."  My next card was "Intuition."  As I sit with their message in my life, I find myself going within for clarification.  The external world can be a space of overstimulation, and comparisons but the walls of our heart are where our truths lie.

When I think of moving forward fearlessly, I can't help but think to bring my intuition with me so that I am in total alignment with my passion.  Just pause in your own life.  Is there a space of transition or change that you are moving through?  What would your life look like if you moved through it using your intuition rather than the noise of the external world?  And beautiful hearts what are you passionate about?  What wakes up the dreams of your childhood and translates them into your present life?  All such rich questions to sit with in the very center of your beingness!

May your day be full of moments where you consciously choose to MOVE FORWARD FEARLESSLY using your INTUITION allowing yourself to move into greater alignment with your PASSIONS!

May You Sweetly Seek:)

Talking About it Tuesday...New Moon Energy

2017 Aires New Moon by Sandra Sitron
Do you remember what excitement feels like? Do you remember what anticipation feels like? This is the energy of the 2017 Aries New Moon. She whispers, “Ready?” But not into your ear. She whispers into your heart. And the question builds there like a drumbeat, until it pounds along in tempo with the rhythm of your spirit. And suddenly, you know you are. Ready.

March 27 brings us a New Moon in Aries. The New Moon is the time when the Sun and the Moon join together. The Moon does not reflect the Sun’s light from this angle, so the Moon is dark. In the darkness, we ready ourselves for the next stage of growth by planting seeds of intention.

As the first sign of the zodiac, fiery Aries symbolizes the new seed. Aries is the grand initiator of the Zodiac. It all begins with Aries energy. In the beginning of our lives, when we are babies, our only responsibility is to be ALIVE. This is the Aries life stage. I like to describe Aries as the baby’s first cry. That sound is the assertion of Self into the world. “I am here!” Aries’ work is to live, lead and act.

This energy is coming in strong at this New Moon with five planets grouped together in Aries. This brings exciting creative possibilities. We can harness this energy to know ourselves better. We can become leaders and producers in a completely new way. And yet, there can be a proliferation of aggression or rashness as well. To maintain your balance stay actively engaged and present. Watch your thoughts. If things are making you angry, find out why. Can you choose a different thought?
The 2017 Aries New Moon makes only one major aspect, a conjunction to Venus in Aries. To me, this signifies simplicity and focus. The overall feeling of the 2017 Aries New Moon is that it’s time to bathe in your own fire of purification. It’s possible that you’ve been processing, working, holding, and storing. As this new energy comes in, see what you can burn away. Notice what you no longer need. Clearing and purifying yourself in this way will make you ready for action. Imagine yourself ready to take on the world totally unencumbered.

How to do this? You may try meditating to clear out and simplify your thought patterns. Breathwork, shamanic practice, crystal bed healing, reiki, or acupuncture to energetically clear. Exercise to clear yourself physically. Feel your feelings to clear yourself emotionally. Use all of this as momentum to help you spring into action.

Let yourself become energetically, mentally, physically, and spiritually refreshed. This will allow you to surprise yourself with higher energy levels. Meditate on how you are ready to lead. Make yourself more free. Assert your individuality. Define yourself. Make strong choices and take action.

Monday Musing...Be a peach!

"You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches."
~Famous Person

Happy Monday beautiful hearts!  I hope the weekend blessed you in amazing ways.  I stumbled across this quote over the weekend and it really spoke to me as I have been working on some self identity projects in my own life.  In my coaching work, we move from who we have been (past beliefs) to who we are in this moment (present unfolding).  Who are you in this moment?  "When it comes to loving myself, I'm the type of person (fill in the blank)."

It's our job to love ourselves. To make friends with the boogie man in our closet.  To turn the light on and say enough of this non-sense.  To set healthy boundaries with the outside world.  To befriend the incessant chatter in our minds.  To bask in grand love and make space for our sorrows.   We are here to experience a range of healthy emotions.

As you move through your life, become the best darn juiciest peach you can- for your sake, not for anyone else's.  Once you are so juicy and ripe you can share your exquisite nature with others, but until you own your peachy-ness, you'll always be looking for others to boost your esteem.

Fully embody your truths my dears!  Your unique constellation of energy is pretty darn peachy!

May your week be amazingly blessed!
May you Sweetly Seek:)

Thankful Thursday...Dear Body,

“To lose confidence in one’s body is to lose confidence in oneself.”
― Simone de Beauvoir
Dear Body,
I find myself marveling at you year after year.  As I gaze into the mirror I see myself staring back, and I can't believe how much time we have under our belts.  I see my brown eyes staring back at me and I feel overcome with emotion.  My eyes have witnessed so many tender moments of life.  I have watched babies come into the world and I have held the hands of those so dear to me leave this world.  I look down at my hands and I find myself chuckling.  My fingers a bit crooked like my grandmother's and mom's.  These hands have touched so many emotions, they have held many hands, they have created so many moments of remembrance.  I remember holding my grandmother's hands as she went through her deathing process.  I recall memorizing the veins, the lines, the spaces that life had decorated, and I can still recall wanting those brown 'dots' to decorate the tops of my hands.  (I'm now retracting my last desire, no brown spots just yet.)

It still amazes me how many forces of love conspired for me to find this particular form.  I spent years of my life wanting my body to be other than it was.  I extended a lot of self judgement, comparison and loathing for this vessel that has agreed to partner with me for this experience called life.  I beat my body up with exercise, punished it with food, and hated it at times because it wasn't like everyone else's.  But body, I get it- we are all beautifully and perfectly made.  All those years I could have been loving you.  I take in a deep breathe. I gently whisper, "I love you and am so grateful for you!"

I look down at my skin.  It has wrinkles and freckles it didn't used to, but those new decorations remind me of my time basking in the sun, feeling life warm my spirits.  I rest my gaze on my heart center.  There have been intense emotions in this region of my body...loving lovers, loving life, and then in the next breath feeling such intensity that I thought for sure my heart would crack under these pressures.  I place my hand over my heart and I can feel the beat of my heart.  God, I am so grateful.  Thank you for each experience that has brought me to this place.  Thank you for each teaching, each opportunity to choose love rather than fear.

I take inventory of my body and instead of ridiculing it, I find my spirit extending love.   There is such honesty and authenticity in being kind.

I gaze at my smile, and I smile even wider.  I love smiling!  I love life, and body I just wanted you to know how much I love and appreciate you.  I totally commit to working with you for the rest of our journey!  It feels good to love you.  I feel good to love me.  Thanks for all of the adventures.  So looking forward to so many more!

Love,
Grateful Me

W.O.W. Wednesday...Selecting thoughts

“You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love
Happy Wednesday beautiful hearts!  I just love this girl boss wisdom from Elizabeth Gilbert.  What if every morning before you catapulted out of bed, you selected from a closet full of positive intentions and devoted your waking hours to living a more meaningful and authentic life?  How would your relationships change?  How would the landscape of your life change?

What if you were assured success by thoughtfully selecting your wardrobe of thoughts.  Are you looking for more abundance but believing in lack?  Do you desire love but believe it's only for 'others?'  Are you jealous about others successes instead of reveling in their joys?  Do you believe that good things only happen to 'other' people?  Are you bitter about how life has unfolded for you?  Do you long to live another's life?

Its time my friends to extend a little bit of love to your spring wardrobe of thoughts.  This is a season of planting your desires and letting go of what no longer serves you.  Become a thought fashionista!

Have a marvelous day!

May You Sweetly Seek:)

Talking About it Tuesday...In the Company of Women

“Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.”
―
Jalaluddin Rumi
Happy Tuesday beautiful hearts!  Today I want to share an amazing and inspiring book with you.  In the Company of Women: Inspiration and Advice from over 100 Makers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs, by Grace Bonney is not only a visual masterpiece, it is compelling reminder to dedicate oneself to the passionate stirrings from within.  Most often as she has discovered these stirrings have been with us since childhood.

From the moment you turn the first pages, you are greeted by an amazing community of inspiration. "Activist Marian Wright Edelman said, 'You can't be what you can't see.'  Visibility is one of the most powerful tools we have in inspiring people to pursue their dreams and educating them about all the amazing options that exist."

So my beautiful friends when I look up visibility the various definitions are, 'the relative ability to be seen under given conditions of distance, light, atmosphere, etc. , the state or fact of being visible.'  As I think about visibility in my own life, I am reminded that conditions are not always optimal, but WE are optimally built to THRIVE.  This book is a gigantic shout-out to the courageous woman within, to the cavernous  dreamer, and to the artists, entrepreneurs and doers that make themselves visible.  What are you waiting for beauties?  We are here to encourage one another.  To dance in the fires of creation.  To stir the pot of possibilities.  To invite faith to the feast table.

All I can say is that you need to add this book to your must read for 2017!  Whether you are in the midst of creating your brand, discovering your talents, rebuilding your image, or starting a second career- these women are going to inspire the heck out our your journey!  Their willingness and courage is a testament to growing the successful artist that resides within the walls of our hearts.   Did you ever stop to think that your willingness to be bold, take risks, and be vulnerable might inspire someone in your life?

As Grace reminds her readers, "While each woman's story is unique, their messages are universal.  They've overcome adversity, gone great distances on their own, and learned the power of working together to achieve their goals."

See your talents.  Embrace your authenticity.  Own your adversity.  Take it all in...and then be willing to be visible.  The world needs to see YOU!

May You Sweetly Seek:)

Monday Musing...What did you dream of becoming as a child?

3/20/2017

“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”
~George Bernard Shaw

I've recently been inspired by a book of bad ass women who have followed the internal nudge of spirit and who have passionately followed through on their childhood dreams. (Stay tuned, I'll be sharing this book on tomorrow's blog!) Perhaps as we connect with the wise and unbounded child within we connect at a more essential level to what really matters--the heart of the matter.  The initial question to each of these 100 women, "What did you want to be when you were a child?"

Drifting back in time, I can feel my longing to be a writer.  Yellow legal pads of paper felt like goldmines beneath my hands.  Tracing my fingers on the paper transported me into the stories of life.  At a very early age I began writing about 'life.'  Not the sunshine and flowery version, but rather the plot twists of life that take our breath away and form the very foundations of our existence.  The twists and turns of living became animated on these yellow lined legal pads.  I adored writing at a desk, as it somehow felt masterful and cultivated.  In my childhood home we had a big roll top desk in our front hall.  I envisioned myself sitting there in the swivel chair writing with the spirits of Thoreau and Mary Oliver.  I could feel fellow authors who had gone before me laboring over the stories of their lives, their collections strewn about, their intentions so profound.  I dreamed in words.  I still dream in words.  I see myself living by the sea, writing about life and how it longs to accompany us on the journey of living.  My writing desk faces a wall of windows, the room is trimmed in white bead board, and everywhere I look I am grateful for the views of life.  I envision my writing stirring the very souls of the readers.  Calling out to individuals to live the stories of their hearts.   This is who I am as an adult.

The other day I bumped into a mom of a childhood friend and she asked me what I was doing professionally, and I shared that I was crafting my writing into a book.  She sheepishly smiled, "That's so wonderful, I always wanted to write, but when I was deciding on a career it seemed more practical to become a nurse, work 9-5 and bring home a consistent paycheck.  But, oh my, I always felt like I had a story inside me."  I felt her deep longing cozying up beside her.  There was a moment when she would have pursued this dream, but the external world became louder and more insistent than her internal voice.  The practicality of life trumped the heart of her true desire.  "I raised three children, I have a good life, but I know I still have this part of my dying to come alive."
I smiled at her.  "There are so many mediums and modalities to work at your craft.  How would your life be fuller if you took this first step and began writing?"

I left her with this question.  I could see her heart melting into possibilities as she smiled and then glanced at her husband.  Life truly isn't about finding ourselves, life is about creating ourselves as Shaw so eloquently stated.  Maybe today you begin with the dream of the child inside.  "What did you want to be when you were a child?"  Young, old, male, female...tune in and turn it up:).
