“Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.”

Thankful Thursday...What is your why?

“If you know the why, you can live any how.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
Happy Thankful Thursday beautiful hearts!  Today I am so grateful for the individuals who share their stories and spark inspiration with our own lives.
Their successes and powerful questions bring clarity and a sense of re-evaluation into our lives.  As Tony Robbins asks, "What will give you an extraordinary life?"  How can I find the gift I have to give the world that TRULY adds value?

Another man says that people know WHAT they do, people know HOW they do it, but quite often, people don't know WHY they are doing what they are doing.  Our WHY's are our purpose, and our beliefs.  Our WHY's are the reason we get out of bed in the morning.  Why did you get out of bed this morning?

Live inspired my friends and KNOW YOUR WHY!

May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,

W.O.W. 3 Decisions you make every moment of your life according to Tony Robbins.

4/26/2017

According to the self help guru and life strategist, Tony Robbins, there are 3 decisions that you are making in both your professional and personal life on a daily basis.  These decisions are made by asking the following 3 questions:
  1. What am I going to focus on?- Focus is a decision.  Bottom line wether you are the leader of a company or the leader of your life, 'leaders make decisions.' What you focus on you'll feel.  If you focus on your perceived mistakes then you will grow in your awareness of this area of your life.  If however you are able to focus on the fact that you learned some lesson that changed the course of your life or business you'll be able to grow from that.  In terms of business, you have to create a business with an end in mind.  Tony Robbins says, 'If you don't have an exit strategy, you simply have a job.'
  2. What does this mean?  - The minute you focus on something, you'll feel it!  This simple equation is translatable across the board:  Focus=Feeling.  Create a focus for your business, create a focus for your life.  One of my favorite lines from his talk is, "Treat people at the end of the relationship like it's the beginning of the relationship."
  3. What should I do? - It's as simple and complex as this, "Decision making is your power."  Our lives are driven by our ability to make decisions.  Our economy is driven by this principle.

Talking About it Tuesday...How can I feel happier?

4/25/2017

Q.  How can I feel happier?

A:  "Clearly, this question is in regard to breaking the spell cast over human behavior, which causes you to seek out and find misery.  For happiness is your natural state of being, as is true health.  Your quest for happiness is actually a desire for wholeness.  Since you already have that which you desire, there is no need for outward motion.  There is nothing to seek.

The misery habit is satiated the moment that you see greater light within a better alternative.  You cannot break away from misery by studying its components.  To do so brings you into its mire even more.  Holy One, your answers lay before you even now.  Be happy that you already are happy, and it is so.

It is true that certain accoutrements can lend to so-called happiness, yet this form of happiness is short-lived, for thrusting the power of happiness upon outward situations is a sure route to greater misery.  Like a thirsty man walking in the desert, perpetually fooled by illusions of water, you who seek happiness through other people need first look within your Holy Self.  There shall you find it in buckets.

While it is true that relationships and possessions are part and parcel of your human experience, the real truth is in their enjoyment and appreciation.  He who is miserable within his own self is rarely healed of this condition by his surroundings.  It is, instead, a change of direction within his heart that propels him to accept happiness as his normal condition.

Rarely is a child taught this simple truth.  We witness many children's visions of happiness being outwardly directed towards this prize or that.  We assure you that you already are happy, and the enjoyment of that happiness is the factor that attracts to you that which you seek,  Flex this muscle often, and with practice, this element shines in greater quantities.  With intent, happiness can be felt within your body and can be increased in size and strength.  We are happy to help you with this intent, reminding you often of its importance."

Happy Monday beautiful hearts!  Today is the most magnificent day, because it has never been before and it will never be again.  Today is brimming with possibilities.  Breathe in the opportunities before you.  Exhale anything left over from yesterday.  Settle into the rhythm of now.  Treat your body with kindness.  Release your mind from the anxieties of the future or worry over the past.  Dive deep into the light of your being.  Know your strengths and share them with the world.  Create a day full of grateful moments.  Fly into the energy of your life.  Go where your heart takes you.  Believe in yourself.   Say a hearty yes to the adventure of this new day.  Grow.  Expand.  Be love.  Create a mantra for the day ahead of you.

"Today I am fully present for the miracle of my life."

May You Sweetly Seek:)

Friday Favorites...Opening our Heart

“A person's life purpose is nothing more than to rediscover, through the detours of art or love or passionate work, those one or two images in the presence of which his heart first opened.”
― Albert Camus
Happy Friday loves.  Do you remember an instance in which your heart burst open?  As I gaze into this child's eyes, I'm pretty sure that one of the most profound heart opening moments for me was meeting my niece.  Gazing into her tiny little eyes, I found myself full of an ocean of emotion.  Tears streamed down my face and my heart felt like it might burst from the overload of gratitude.  Staring at her perfection made me so aware of how precious life is.  Life is beautiful and raw and crazy and sane and full of every opposite.  Life is to be lived fully.  Love is to be made and shared.  Art is to be devoured and sculpted.  Work is meant to bring us to life.

Thinking back to the day I first met my niece takes me back to one of the grandest heart opening days of my life.  I wonder what that day would be for you?

May You Sweetly Seek:)

Thankful Thursday...What did you intend to be?

Once upon a time there was a young girl that dreamed of being a writer.  She wrote and wrote so that her notebooks were full of treasures.  She dreamed of far off places and interesting tales.  She grew up and soon recognized that her passion lay in broadcasting.  She wanted to be on T.V. covering human interests stories.  She desired to travel to different cultures and far off places and unearth the kind of stories that made people think about the daily acts of living. She wanted to spark inspiration, and to cause people to think about life from a different vantage point.  As she grew up, she took a plot twist and settled into the rhythm of the climate around her.  She shelved her dreams for a more practical version of life.  Days turned into months and months turned into years.

My friends voice brought me back into the present.  "When you were 19, what did you intend to become Sarah?"

I closed my eyes so that I could tap into the texture and depth of my dream at that point in my life.  "A journalist, a broadcaster.  Someone who shed light on the contrasts of living."

My friend smiled as she recounted her tale of becoming.  She started off with a broken ankle and knew that she wanted to help others have a better experience than she had.  And now, here she was many years later in a totally different profession.

As we shared experiences we both began to see that every detail of our lives had brought us to this point.  What at the time might have looked like it was a fork in the road was really a stroke of luck. What might have seemed insignificant was profound.  What broke our hearts has become our greatest message to the world.

As I look into my life today, I might not be broadcasting from the trenches of some far off country, but I am a broadcaster.  My friend pointed this out to me through our conversation.  "Sarah, you might not be behind a news room desk sharing the top stories, but you are sharing some top stories about living.  People want to know how to live well, to love courageously, and to increase their sense of happiness.  You broadcast this message to them in a different way.  You share your experiences from their lives and then hopefully that inspires them to view their lives in a different fashion."

I feel so blessed by her friendship and wise counsel.  So my friends, "What did you intend to become in your life?"  Even if it doesn't resemble the initial blue print, can you see the underlying foundation?  How are you living this message and sharing it with the world?  Can you still touch the tenderness of your initial vision?

Our lives are full of plot twists, game changers, monumental events, earth shattering moments of living and loving.  We have the capacity within us to experience a range of emotions.  We also have within us the ability to dream and even more importantly to manifest.  As you gaze into your life today, how has your initial vision for your life evolved?  Notice how every decision has brought you to this very moment.  At this stage of my life, I'm thankful to call myself a broadcaster:  Someone who shares insights and information in ways that spark curiosity and insight joy!

W.O.W. Wednesday...Percentages and Numbers

4/19/2017

"We think we're made of numbers: percentages on tests, pounds on a scale, likes on a photo, price tags on clothes, but we're not. We're made of love, happiness, and the way we laugh.  We're made of good memories and late nights.  We have more substance than numbers.

We are so much more than likes and shares.  We are far more than the measurements, grades, and money we provide.  We are enough.  Just.  As.  We.  Are.

Stop doing things in order to be loved, and instead just be who you are and o the things that come peacefully from your own heart."

Happy Tuesday beautiful hearts.  In this amazing eight minute clip, filmmakers from around the world chime in and share their answers to this simple question, "What does it mean to be human?"

I leave you with this question in your own life.  How will you respond, and then how will this response be visible in your daily living?  Will you play it safe?  Or will you design your life according to the intricate paradise of your heart?

May you be well.
May you be blessed.
May you be the change.
May you be the love!

Monday Musing...Alleluia it's Easter Sunday

4/17/2017

In the hustle and bustle of living, it's easy to get caught up in the 'doing.'
We create check lists for living while we silently suffer due to our overwhelm.
We schedule our priorities and dismiss our desires because it seems more practical.
We give up our connection to nature because the indoors offers more comforts.
We begin shallow breathing because what would we do with a full inhale?

We go about our lives instead of truly living them.
We recycle our hope in anticipation of something greater.
We watch others live and wonder if we can emulate with such precision?
We craft jobs for ourselves instead of living our passions.
We settle into the rut never questioning our motives.

We disconnect from the pitter patter of our hearts.
What do you long to do my loves?
When was the last time you felt the newness of life dancing back into your heart?
Sitting in the pew I hear her speak of the resurrection.
I feel the goosebumps traveling up and down my body.
I feel an etheric hug from those no longer on this plane; their hug encourages me.
I have been asleep.
Winter is gone, it is time to reawaken.

There is an opportunity in Springtime that hesitates in the blossoming of life.
The warmth of the sun increases as the light streams through our dreams.
Opportunity arises from the depths of winter.
Shadows melt into the rays of light.
Clouds gently sweep away the cobwebs of colder days.
Blue skies project the radiant desires of our hearts.

I can hear her words echo off my heart.
"He has risen my friends."
I feel myself reinvigorated.
I spend the day in the sunshine.
Laughing with toddlers, while watching those I love make memories.
Gathering up all the pieces of this day so that I can knit these moments into my heart.

These are the days I will remember.
Easter Sunday with those I love.
Reawakening to the magic of life; to the magic of living.
It is time to give birth.
Holding nothing back as we charge forth with a sense of renewed faith.
It is now time to shout, Alleluia.

May You Sweetly Sweek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
