"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
~Dr. Wayne Dyer
Today we celebrate and honor the light of Dr. Wayne Dyer.  His countless teachings fill the shelves of libraries and bookstores.  With over 30 titles to his name, this spiritual giant is known for creating an empire of manifestation.  His face familiar from his long standing relationship with PBS and countless radio interviews.  I certainly never met Dr. Dyer, but through his teachings and his service to awakening the world, I feel like he was a treasured old friend.

The foundation of his life appeared to be one of service and passion.  He was a compass of joy, a scholar of life, a participant in the Divine power of the Universe.  One of my favorite books is one of his more recent ones, Wishes Fulfilled: Mastering the Art of Manifesting.  His book is dedicated to "For the author of all things...the I Am that I Am..."  This book is an exquisite testament to his miraculous life.  As I reflect on his impact on my heart and path, I find myself welling up with gratitude.  This modern mystic brought such love and light to the planet.  It is my hope that we all could leave such a mark.  We all have this Divine spark contained within our hearts.  At this auspicious time I feel even more compelled to leave a legacy of love and light.  How about you?

As I think of him now, I can't help but think of a quote from early on in his life.  "Choose to see death as simply removing a garment or moving from one room to another... It's merely a transition."  As this sweet spirit transitions, may he feel the gratitude from so many hearts.  He was truly a treasure walking this Earth.

May all love surround you and may the pure light inside you guide you on your way.  Aho....

Thankful Thursday...

Happy Thursday loves!  May today be a day of connection and awareness.  Isn't gratitude an amazing energy?  The more we put out, the more it comes back.  Today I want to give a shout of gratitude for this amazing artist, Trevor Hall.  His songs are on constant repeat!

His new album, KALA (meaning time) was released last week and I am heavily crushing on this entire album.  You can seriously listen to the entire album without skipping a song.  In fact, I have the album on repeat!  His work is laced with devotion, humbleness, and honesty.  Trevor's inspiration for this album came from his grandmother and from the landscape of Hawaii.

Her words about time echo throughout this musical brilliance!  "Isn't time such a wonderful gift!"

How will you spend your time today?  Will you race with the clock? Will you disappear into your fears?  Will you notice the sun beaming it's healing rays your way?  Will you laugh a little harder?  Will you love a little easier?  Will you surrender to the mindful practice of living an awakened life?  May your heart be happy and free!

May time bless your life in beautiful ways now and always!
May You Sweetly Seek:)

Dear Human: You’ve got it all wrong. You didn’t come here to master unconditional love. That is where you came from and where you’ll return. You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling. Demonstrated through the beauty of… messing up. Often. You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are. You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous. And then to rise again into remembering. But unconditional love? Stop telling that story. Love, in truth, doesn’t need ANY other adjectives. It doesn’t require modifiers. It doesn’t require the condition of perfection. It only asks that you show up. And do your best. That you stay present and feel fully. That you shine and fly and laugh and cry and hurt and heal and fall and get back up and play and work and live and die as YOU. It’s enough. It’s Plenty.”

Talking about it Tuesday...

"Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life."   BKS Iyengar
Your body is amazing vessels in which you experience life.  This body catapults you towards your greatness and encourages your growth.  The shell becomes the temple of your advancement.  The boundaries you find in your body allow for both the feminine and masculine energies to create balance.  As you tap into this subtle energy can you feel the shift between giving and receiving?  When you master your thoughts, your body follow.

This amazing Yogi, Dylan Werner always inspires me to keep practicing.  YOU don't just wake up one day with all of the traits that you are desiring of.  YOU have to put in the time to cultivate your talents, to stretch your limits, to expand your body.  Soft and strong.  Walking the Earth is an adventure in self discovery.  Each day YOU wake up to infinite potential.

Who inspires you to keep evolving?  What qualities do you notice in them that motivate you?  Are you willing to tap into the heightening harmony of life?  How does your body allow you to express the love and wisdom that is YOU?

May you find the rhythm of the body and the harmony of the soul as Iyengar suggests.  Create your own music.  Move.  Grow.  Expand.  Be Infinite. Be Curious.

Monday Musing...

Happy Monday beautiful hearts.  Today on the blog I want to talk about little people.  Little people make my heart melt, how about you?  Yesterday this trio brought such joy and lightness to my spirit.  My niece and her two cousins got all dressed up for a photoshoot.  They are surprising their grandma, or BeBe as she has been nicknamed for her birthday.

Being the studious person I am, I checked out Pinterest posing guides, shutter speeds, and aperture settings.  I had such a brilliant plan, and then these three free spirits came along.  I still chuckle out loud as I think of our time together.  Being with them was such a great reminder that even the best laid plains sometimes fall apart so that even better ones can come together.  Try telling an almost 4 year old, almost 2 year old and a 2 month old that you have a plan.  Are you laughing out loud, cause I sure am!

The memory of this time together is priceless.  We had a baby crying, and two toddlers bouncing with energy.  We had my sister in law covered in furry blankets so that she could hold the baby and hopefully soothe her so that she didn't start crying.  Things even got so chaotic that there might have been a bribe of chocolate somewhere along the way, and these kiddos were sure to remind the adults that we had mentioned chocolate.  The pictures didn't come out as I had hoped, but in a lot of ways, they came out even better.  The raw joy of giggling, of moving, and squealing with delight was filtered through the lens.  There's no planning for the spontaneity of a child.  Their wonderment is an amazing reminder to be in the present moment.  Squeal.  Laugh.  Run.  Play.  Make it count.

This life isn't about being so over planned that we forget to live.  Sure, we have responsibilities, but when was the last time you waved at a stranger, enjoyed the simplicities of life, laughed until your sides hurt, ran through the grass barefoot, or giggled until you snorted?  With the heart of a child, may your week be full of lighthearted moments and wonder.  Ready, set--go!

"Keep close to nature's heart...and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods.  Wash your spirit clean."
John Muir
Happy Friday loves...may this gorgeous day encourage your heart and spirit.  What mountain is ahead of you?  Can you climb this mountain gracefully, or are you full of strife and struggle?  Sometimes we begin a new journey, and the energy required can tap us out.  How do you re-connect?  Allow yourself to adopt the pace of nature.  One thoughtful step at a time.  One breath at a time.  Be here.  Connect without judgement and allow your spirit to emerge sparkly and new!  Happy trails my friends!

“How can you get very far,
If you don't know who you are?
How can you do what you ought,
If you don't know what you've got?
And if you don't know which to do
Of all the things in front of you,
Then what you'll have when you are through
Is just a mess without a clue
Of all the best that can come true
If you know What and Which and Who.”

"Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future.”
~Deepak Chopra

Happy Tuesday loves!  I spent an amazing weekend focusing on personal growth and transformation with one of my favorite teachers, Tom.  This journey inward was laced with joy, but always with pockets of sadness.  Letting go often times involves Kleenex and kindness.  Letting go is an organic process that only YOU can discover.

As I reflect back on my experiences, I can't help but love the synchronicity of Deepak Chopra's video, "Letting Go."  As he narrates this thoughtful video he begins asking his audience to notice what the ego state is holding onto?  I remember Neale Donald Walsh sharing that the EGO stands for, Edging God Out.

He nudges his audience towards realities based on limiting beliefs.  These beliefs might be, "I'll never be happy, I'm always disappointed, I always get shortchanged, I never have any extra,  I'm always doomed to repeat my past mistakes,  etc."  He encourages balance.  He encourages an investigation inward rather than seeking acceptance from external sources.  Wow....it's all about what lies on the inside.

Can you relate to this concept at all?  As I listened to this video I couldn't help but notice that I love to use the word always.  Always implies a false belief set according to Deepak.  The notion that we can become pioneers of our futures is awe inspiring.

Everyday I feel fortunate to connect with amazing people, to share information, to reflect on this journey of being human, and to seek experiences that make my heart grow.  This journey of letting go isn't for the faint of heart.  It takes courage reclaim your personal power.  It takes softness to let go of what doesn't serve you.  It takes a longing for something different to bring about change.  It takes awareness and compassion to be a pioneer of love and wonderment.

As you move through your day, it is my hope that you would discover a wellspring of awareness that encourages you to let go of something that no longer serves you.  Love yourself first and rely on the inner teachings of your spirit.

May You Sweetly Seek:)

Happy Monday loves...picture this scene...You hop into your car and as you do, you can't help but feel the excitement of a new day.  It's a gorgeous early morning.  The birds are singing, the trees as still wet with dew.  There are dense patches of fog hanging above the rolling crops of summer.  The morning is peaceful with promise...and then all of a sudden-BOOM!

As you're driving down the road taking everything in, someone begins tailing you with great intensity.  You can feel them practically breathing down your neck.  I was driving this morning and this scenario happened to me.   I saw her face in my rearview mirror scrunched up with disgust.  A normal reaction of mine would be to become super animated with some colorful adjectives and keep increasing my speed.  As I gazed around me, I saw so many treasures of the morning and felt silly getting worked up about a speedy person on the road.

I immediately pulled off on the side of the road and allowed the car to pass me.  As I got back on the road, I felt so much relief and satisfaction for having followed through with a better choice for myself.  Can any of you relate to this scenario?

As I continued the rest of my drive I got to thinking about this situation as a metaphor in life.  Sometimes we try SOOOO hard, that we continually create friction in our lives.  Can you feel the anxiety of life/getting to your destination/projects/commitments and work creeping into your mind?  As Baron Baptise says, "Try easy."  Most of the time if we were to pull off the road, really get off of the hamster wheel of thought we can see that the anxiety we feel is self imposed.  One of my teachers has a saying, "We tell ourselves stories and the story you tell yourself is never a good one."  Brilliant!

On this day, may you be totally in the drivers seat of your life!  Somedays you just need to pull over so that they person behind you can get on their way.  In doing this, you empower yourself to move forward on your path and to Try Easy...

May You Sweetly Seek:)
