"You are under:
NO OBLIGATION
to be the same person you were a year, month, or even 5 minutes ago.
You have a right to change & evolve.
Never apologize."

- Agent Steve
Happy Monday beautiful hearts!  Are you ready for the adventure of this new week? As you think about your life in this manner, can you more assuredly invite in adventure and change?  Did you glance in the mirror this morning and tell yourself, "I got this!"  What if you greeted today with a mindset of excitement and fluidity?

Each day we are called to awaken to the Divine adventures of our lives.  In each millisecond we change, we unfold, we become new.  I love this quote, because you are certainly under no obligation to be the same person you were even a moment ago!  Adventure and evolution run parallel on this expedition.  This dynamic combo offers a vehicle of growth and transformation.  An adventure is defined as an "exciting experience."  Evolution is defined as a "process of formation or growth."  Does that sound at all like your life?

What if you were to look at the evolution of your heart, your life, your mind, your body, your spirit, as the most exciting experience that you will ever undertake.  These moments of growth hold the most exciting and exhilarating experiences of our lives.  Each moment you are different and you are new.  Celebrate your victories.  Forgive your perceived faults.  Dwell in expansion.  Love it all.  Practice gratitude.  Walk your walk.  Follow the golden rule.  Be free.  Extend kindness.  Believe in yourself.  And never apologize for where you are in your life.

Look down at your feet, look up at the sky.  As Hafez so beautifully stated, "This place where you are right now, God circled on a map for you."

May You Sweetly Seek:)

“I want you to try and remember what it was like to have been very young.
And particularly the days when you were first in love; when you were like a person sleepwalking, and you didn’t quite see the street you were in, and didn’t quite hear everything that was said to you.
You’re just a little bit crazy. Will you remember that, please?”
~Thorton Wilder, Our Town

Happy Friday beautiful hearts!!  Thorton Wilder, born in 1897 is one of my favorite playwrights and novelists.  During the span of his career he won 3 Pulitzer Prizes.
His play, Our Town was first introduced to me back in high school when I was on the Speech and Debate Team.

His prose magically weaves the ordinary into the extraordinary.  What was once a simple thought becomes a profound invitation towards living.  Can you remember those days where you were first in love and sleepwalking?  Perhaps if you have forgotten, today will be a day of awakening and remembering for you.  Let love be your guide!

“Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.”
~W.T. Purkiser

Happy Thankful Thursday beautiful hearts!  I hope wherever you are, you are surrounded by a multitude of blessings.  This time of year always reminds me of a full house at my great aunts.  The smell of her famous pumpkin pie still makes my mouth water.  My cousins and I  busily played on the steps as we ran out floor space in the TV room.  Our mothers and grandmothers washed dishes to prepare for the next round of our Thanksgiving feast.  Our dads and grandpas snoozed on the couches in the living room.  Love filled the entire house.  There wasn't much physical room for all of us, but somehow that made our time together even more special.

These are the moments that fill my heart with such sweet and tender memories.  As I look at our new traditions I can't help but look back with a bittersweet glance.  I pause for a moment in the roar of laughter.  I bow my head in gratitude for the faith my family shared with me.  I sit in the connectedness of multiple generations.  I hear the aliveness of our family.  These moments live on as we move forward to create new memories.

We use the blessings of our past to bless the Thanksgivings of our hearts.  Each day holds an opportunity to live in wonder, to walk in amazement, and to be nourished in body, mind and spirit.  There are such miraculous times ahead.

It is my hope that this day would bless you in the most immeasurable ways.  May the warm memories of days gone by help you to measure this moment of your life.  May you be free and present to experience all the wonder surrounding you.  I often think had it not been for my family members, I truly wouldn't understand what it means to celebrate this season of thankfulness.

With such gratitude I bring my hands to my heart and whisper, Thank you!  Thank you for the love of my family.  Thank you for the food that nourishes our bodies.  Thank you for the friends who have gathered around the hearth of our hearts.  Thank you for the blessing of being.  Thank you for the world so sweet.  Thank you for every new opportunity to give thanks!

May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Happy Thanksgiving,

Talking About it Tuesday...

““You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Happy Tuesday beautiful hearts!  As I think about this week of Thanksgiving, I am reminded of all of the many blessings in my life.  Today I want to talk about kindness.  What does kindness mean to you?  Have you ever thought about kindness in regards to giving and receiving?  Are you more comfortable receiving vs. giving, or vice versa?  Just another beautiful thought to meditate on.

As I think about this word, which means "the state or quality of being kind, a kind act, a kind behavior, and a friendly feeling," I can't help but think of an older gentlemen that I wave to on a daily basis.  I've never met this man, but he lives on my regular route and each time I pass by, his hand always goes up with a wave.  In the summertime he would sit by his garage and wave, and now he's on his enclosed porch.

I have to admit when I first noticed him back in early summer, I thought to myself, "Why does he wave to me, he doesn't even know me?"  As the months progressed, I began honking and waving before he had a chance to put his hand up.  Little did I know that the kindness of his wave would change the course of my days.  His selfless wave  brings a smile to my face as I wonder about his life, and I pause in my busyness to feel the kindness of this stranger.

Each time I drive past his home, I now honk and wave even if he isn't visible in his normal location.  No matter what is going on in my day or in my life, passing by his house is a reminder to extend kindness to another, after all- I'm pretty sure I'm receiving just as much as he is.  Kindness is the ability to be the receiver as well as the giver.

As Emerson so beautifully stated, "You cannot do a kindness too soon..."  Kindness reminds me of the fall leaves.  If we delay this unconditionally act, we might miss the wonder of the brilliant colors of our lives.  Kindness touches our hearts in the most subtle and profound ways.  During this season of your life, what kindness could you extend to another?  How would extending this kindness enrich your life?

May your day be blessed with kind favor!

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Happy Monday beautiful hearts!  As we begin this week of Thanksgiving, I can't help but remember this inspiring clip by Louie Schwartzberg.  It's been on the blog before, but each time I watch it, it's like I'm seeing it for the first time.

On this beautiful day, may you awaken with an open heart.  May you greet the day with a devoted heart.  Cultivate your passions.  Explore your dreams.  Be a blessing.  Love unconditionally.  Forgive.  Offer another a hug.  Smile without any expectation.  Explore the gift of truly living.  Share gratitude with everyone that you meet.  Open your heart to the blessings all around you.  May today be an amazing day.

May You Sweetly Seek:)

"The one thing all famous authors, world class athletes, business tycoons, singers, actors, and celebrated achievers in any field have in common is that they all began their journeys when they were none of these things.

Yet still, they began their journeys.”
~Mike Dooley

Happy Friday beautiful hearts!   May the warmth of the long time sun encourage you to begin your journey.  I love this quote by Mike Dooley...each soul that accepted their grand mission celebrated a humble beginning.  In the theme of the week, what are you dreaming about?  What desires do you have tucked away in your heart?  In this season of change and transition, I encourage all of you to take a step towards realizing this dream.  What do you have to lose?  Your life is the journey towards everything you desire.

“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning.”
~Gloria Steinem

Happy Thankful Thursday beautiful hearts!  Today my heart is brimming with gratitude and possibilities!  When was the last time you honored the gratitude in your heart?  What do spend your days dreaming about?  As I peer into my own heart, I can't help but notice my gratitude for writing, self expression, and healing words.

For as long as I can recall I have been dreaming of becoming a published author.  The walls of my home are lined with bookshelves and quotes.  Books are just as exciting as a new pair of shoes!  Creative writing is my second language.  It has been a fluent form of expression for as long as I can remember.

When people ask me what I do, I want to look them in the eye and tell them, "I'm a writer."  As I confidently reply, I can feel the certainty of this statement.  This reply excites me!  This is me!  This very thought makes me want do a happy dance!  When was the last time you did a happy dance?  What excites you beautiful dreamer?

Since April I have been working with an author coach to compile my first book, and I am so excited to announce that I will be self publishing and debuting my new book around the holidays.  This cathartic process has taught me much about the process of being a dreamer.

Here are four principles to becoming a more effective dreamer:)!
  1. Surround yourself with people who support your dream.- When you look into your inner circle, are you surrounded with people who believe in your dream?  They don't have to have the entire game plan, but they do have to be your biggest cheerleaders.  When you feel like quitting, you need to be able to ask them to offer support and excitement for the entire process.  Allow these people to nurture and support you!
  2. Work smarter not harder.- Oh yea!  How can you apply this principal to your dream?  Are you breaking your back?  Are you putting in sleepless days?  Are you living your life going up hill?  I've never self-published before, so it became evident that in order to work smarter not harder, I would need to recruit the assistance of someone who had completed a project similar to what I was hoping to create.  As soon as I got clear about my truest desire, my author coach appeared!  The Universe is a magical place, so tap into this infinite magic!  You are so worth it!!
  3. Your thoughts are creating your reality!- Boom!!  This principle is so very important.  Every thought you have, every phrase you utter, every situation you are placed in is an opportunity for you to announce your desires!  Dream big.  Get out of your self imposed box!  Ask yourself, 'Why not?'  Become a magnet for miracles and create a mantra that corresponds to your hearts desire!   As I think of this principal, I can't help but think of the quote, 'Go big or go home!' Dream the most amazing dream during your waking hours.
  4. Love the process my friends!- The process is rich with content and meaning.  Each fork in the road, each untimely delay- each detour is Divinely guided.  Can you dig that?  The process of being a dreamer requires your full attention.  This process is the dream!  Wake up to the beauty of your life and cultivate an attitude of gratitude.  Each moment holds a spark of opportunity, growth, and change.

May this day encourage you to revisit the dreams of your heart.  Re-awaken the bliss. Tap into the joy.  Take a chance on love.  Speak your reality into existence.  Ask for help.  Enjoy the process.  Live your life in awe.

May You Sweetly Seek:)

W.O.W. Wednesday... (Words of Wisdom)

Happy Wednesday loves!  Today I celebrate this musician whose music stirs my heart.  Each time I listen to this song, it brings tears to my eyes.

Trevor Hall's lyrics brilliantly reawaken the magic of living the ordinary in an extraordinary way.  His simplicity is complex and his kindness transformative.

"Close your eyes all we got is this..."

I close my eyes and get lost in the lyrics.  What's your wish?

Happy Tuesday beautiful hearts!  Today I simply want to share some of my all time favorite quotes with you.  In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, it's so important to surround our selves with with what love, and I love the sentiments contained within these gorgeous lines...

May today inspire you to reconnect with what you love.  Maybe you have an entire landscape waiting to be splashed on a canvas, paint it.  Maybe you have a song in your heart that the world needs to hear, sing it.  Maybe you have a book tucked inside your spirit, write it.  Maybe knowledge has been encouraging you to go back to school, do it.  Maybe your garden just needs a little weeding so the flowers can grow, plant it.  Maybe your mind and heart just need to have a conversation so that they can both become re-inspired for this most amazing day!!

May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,

“Anything that annoys you is for teaching you patience.
Anyone who abandons you is for teaching you how to stand up on your own two feet.
Anything that angers you is for teaching you forgiveness and compassion.
Anything that has power over you is for teaching you how to take your power back.
Anything you hate is for teaching you unconditional love.
Anything you fear is for teaching you courage to overcome your fear.
Anything you can’t control is for teaching you how to let go and trust the Universe”
~Jackson Kiddard

these things matter most:
How well did you love?
How fully did you live?
How deeply did you let go?”

You were born with goodness and trust.

You were born with greatness.

You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don't.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.”
~Rumi

It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.”
