And next year's words await another voice.”
~T.S. Eliot
As I sit quietly in my apartment on this beautiful New Year's Eve, I am reminded of the wisdom of the Buddha, "He said, there are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live."
Soaking in his timeless wisdom, I sit in the midst of possibility. We all sit in the potential of a new day, a new year, a new chance to imagine our life into reality. The apprehension of yesterday dissolves into the faith of today. The hesitation of tomorrow is calmed with the breath of the Prince of Peace. The prospects of 2016 dazzle my heart. 'Today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live.'
Today is truly the only day we have. Instead of greeting this New Year with a laundry list of resolutions, I intend to greet the year with intention. My intention is contained within the energy of CEREMONY. In Native American tradition, when asked what day is ceremony, the reply is, "Everyday is ceremony."
So this my friends is how I intend to honor and pay pilgrimage to the New Year. Everyday is ceremony. Every dream that animates your passions is to be celebrated. Every breath you take is a magnificent automatic ceremony. Every energy that reawakens love is ceremony. Ceremony is the wisdom of change. Ceremony is the grace of letting go. Trust and honor the still small voice inside that connects you to your divine essence. Spirit is always weaving the intricacies of your heart into a beautiful tapestry of gratitude. May you always be cloaked in love and light. Truly living is the most beautiful ceremony, for it insights others to say YES to this most sacred pilgrimage.
As I organize my desires for this New Year, I feel the energy of ceremony blessing my life. May this year bless you with joy, health, prosperity, abundance, laughter, love and every other glorious energy that delights your heart. Honor and trust the desires of your heart! May you live each day in the ceremony of celebration.
Happy New Year beautiful hearts!
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
