Happy Monday! Hope you've all enjoyed a wonderful weekend. I feel like I have so much I want to share today....from chance meetings, to special treasures, to the synchronicity of the universe...my heart is brimming with gratitude. As my mama said, "Skinny your list down!"
My journey began last Friday morning as I was traveling to visit my dad. I've always had the fortune of meeting amazingly kind people in my travels. Thank you universe!!!
My seat on the plane led me to a rather jolly woman, who instantly spied the bird tattoo on my wrist. She remarked that she loved birds and had a Phoenix tattooed on her back. We began chatting and it ended up that Anita was a vet. Her smile was kind, her heart overflowing with excitement. She began telling me that she had been able to nurse a hawk, Sapphire back to health and Sapphire had been visiting she and her husband for the past 8 years. Once we got to chatting, she began speaking to her friend behind me and I offered to switch seats so that they could enjoy the ride together. My next seat mate, Heidi, a retired nurse was a wonderfully traveled woman who lives close to me in a neighboring town. We instantly hit it off and by the end of the ride we exchanged numbers to keep in touch.
With all of this being said, how many times do we miss connecting with others because we are too busy to engage with them? Maybe we feel slightly insecure or unsure of what to say? How many times do we miss meeting a beautiful soul because we've done a "mental comparison" and the other just doesn't add up on our list?
I've really been noticing how as Mark Twain so gorgeously stated, "Comparison is the death of joy." WE are gorgeous, WE are light bringers, WE are truth seekers...each one of us authentic in our own special way. We shine our signature light and hopefully leave the Earth better than we found it. Call it coincidence, or call it fate; everything in our life I believe is happening for the growth of our souls. We have experiences, we meet new people, we loose connection with others; this is the synergistic dance of life.
I invite you to take a peak in the mirror today, just notice yourself; beautiful and whole!! I think nature is a brilliant teacher of this truth. Nature simply moves from one state of beauty to the next without comparison. The next time you connect with yourself or another, bring your joy and leave comparison behind.
May you Sweetly Seek:)
In gratitude,
Sarah
