~Neale Donald Walsch
It's the start of a new week, the dawn of a new day, the beginning of a new chapter. We have an amazing opportunity to begin anew. As we move forward with this Universal momentum, can you begin to notice emotions, ideas, and reactions that you are holding onto? These can often times be very unconscious. How often do we cling to differences, judgements, and views about how we think things should be?
If we grasp too tightly, we miss new opportunities, we miss new adventures, we miss the freedom of transformation. Each day we embark on an invaluable journey of authentic living. You might ask yourself, am I fully present for this journey? The Vietnamese teacher Thich Nhat Hanh shares, "Attachment to views is the greatest impediment to the spiritual path."
When I think of this scenario, I can't help but think of the practice of Yoga. In Yoga the goal of the physical asana practice becomes the "union, or yoking" of our physical selves with our spiritual selves. Each time one shows up on their mat, they show up as a beginner. Through the practice on the mat, one is more easily able access this mindful state. We are able to resource the treasure of our being. In the Yoga pose, Big Toe Pose- Padangusthasana; I find my likes and dislikes rolling off my shoulders, rolling out of my thinking mind. I have found that as we make space in our bodies for opening and awareness, we make space in our minds for the same gestures.
So on this gorgeous Monday, what still needs to 'matter,' and what can you let go of?
May your day be full of awakening and love!
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
