~John Elderidge.
I believe the feminine aspect of our lives calls us towards the beautiful space of desire and creation. Creation is both the inhale and the exhale and desire is the bridge that grants meaning. Creation is the day just as much as it is the night. Desire is the space in between the light and the dark. Creation is the vortex of our desires. Creation requires our present moment awareness.
When I think of the Divine feminine, I think of the ability to give birth to a baby, the ability to have life growing from within. We spent the weekend celebrating my sister in law who is pregnant with the first little one on our side of the family. It's been an amazing and truly miraculous process to be a part of. As we've witnessed her physical body changing, I've been intrigued by the amount of trust it takes to literally 'birth' a baby as well as to birth the desires of our hearts. Even though I am not a mother, I have the desire to create and to give 'birth' to these desires. Have you ever paused to consider that your very essence is desire? If you realized that you are what you desire, how would you live your life differently?
I think of this concept in my own life. I love writing and have been stirred by musings from an early age. In some ways I have chased this dream hoping to meet it somewhere along the way, but as I get older I realize that if I trust the stirrings in my heart, my desire to write and to share will be consistently expressed as I trust that I already am that which I seek. Wowzers...desire is the benchmark of our true nature.
If you close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath, can you feel desire in your life? What shape is it? Where does it rest in your body? Can you see it made manifest in your life? Can you hear it calling your name? Maybe your desire is the ability to create more time in your life, to savor the breath, to move your physical body, to increase your devotion, to sing, to dance, to foster more intimate relationships, to be kind to yourself, to love more...the list goes on and on. Whatever your desire is it takes an amazing amount of 'trust' in the process. Just as I suspect that a mother trusts in the process of life growing from within her belly.
May you be inspired to remember your desire and to create your life with desire as the fulcrum. Trust...Trust...and more Trust for the journey my friends!
May you Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
