Her little feet...
Her tiny hands...
Her little smile...
Her life adorned with blessings.
Grace by Grace...
We all soaked her in during the church service yesterday, and she couldn't have had a more stellar moment. She was in awe of the pipe organ, mesmerized by her cousins, cuddled up in her mama's arms and then she so warmly received the embrace of the minister.
As I watched the minister baptize her, I was again reminded of the innocence and benevolence that lives within each of us. The minister shared her with the youth and then processed her throughout the congregation. My niece, SK marveled at this walk. She willingly traveled throughout the pews and soaked in all of the new faces. These faces vowed to support her throughout her journey.
Cindy thoughtfully delivered her sermon in accordance with SK's baptism. As she recounted passages from the Bible and tales of modern day living, I couldn't help but stare in SK's direction. She quickly moved from her mom's arms to peering over the pew to catch a glimpse of her cousins. Her little spirit was so full of joy.
Cindy's sermon moved at a pace of grace. As she shared her message, she reminded the congregation that grace isn't reserved for a chosen few, it is a tangible loveliness that is offered to all. As I looked in SK's direction, I couldn't help but be excited for the grace and favor surrounding her, and then as I gazed down at my own heart, I felt a shiver run up my spine as I remembered that this grace lives inside of me as well.
No matter how old you are or where you've journeyed- the elegance of grace is yours. It's easy to observe grace in a new baby- their lives are brimming with opportunity, but so is yours. After years of living and loving, can you still see and feel the compassion of life beating beneath your chest?
May you feel grace upon grace as you begin this new week!
May You Sweetly Seek:-)
In gratitude,
Sarah
