As my mind drifted back to Louise Hay's book, You Can Heal Your Life, I remembered that the shoulder in some fashion connects to the energy of the heart. It wasn't important to me that I knew the preciseness of this connection, what was important to me was that I acknowledged that there was in fact a connection. I took a breath in as I felt the enormity of the heart work I have recently been engaged in. I acknowledged my heart and my shoulder as my chest opened and my shoulder softened.
Too often I know I am impatient and passionate to rid myself of any painful feelings or emotions, but as I laid in the tub, I kept hearing, "Pain is energy that has been left unattended." I felt the pain of several recent events and thanked my body for the information, but encouraged the release. All of the practitioners I have been working with concur that the body is the last place for things to manifest, that is why it is so important that we engage in our personal growth work.
May you make a compassionate space for the energy of your life. Pain truly is energy that has been left unattended. Attend to yourself the way a mother might attend to her babe. You are after all a babe at heart.
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
