Initially this pot had another indoor plant in it and unfortunately my tendency to over water was the demise of the original green inhabitant. As spring turned into summer I took the pot out onto my deck. I wanted to find the perfect summer flowers to fill this particular pot. Days turned to weeks and each time I walked past the pot I noticed a small shoot of greenery popping out of the pot. As I examined the new inhabitant I discovered it was a very eager blade of grass taking root. As I sat down, I heard the word, "Intention." Hmmm. I was quite curious about the message from this little guy.
I had every intention of finding some summer flowers to plant, but in the meantime, something else had taken root. I got busy. I kept meaning to get around to it. I'm sure you know the plethora of storylines from here. You might be wondering how this has anything to do with your life, but stay with me:).
How many times in your life have you been on the fence about commitment? How many times have you been wishy washy about a new opportunity? How many times have you said yes when you really wanted to say no? Just because we don't make a decision doesn't mean that' something' isn't ready to take root. In many ways, the more we tolerate our lack of commitment, the more opportunity we offer for the opposite opportunity to unfold.
I had wanted an array of gorgeous flowers to fill this pot, but because of my lack of commitment in completing the task, 'weeds' ended up taking root and overtaking the soil.
As you begin your week, look into your life, and notice what intentions are ready to be planted. You are in charge of your little slice of heaven. If weeds arise, you get to decide how you'll tolerate them or not? Our minds are much like this fertile soil. What seeds of affirmation are you ready to plant. Make sure to tend to the landscape of your mind and life in a very loving and compassionate way! Grow baby grow!
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In gratitude,
Sarah
