As I observed the flowers, I couldn't help but stop. I was in such a hurry this morning. I was running behind, planning out my week, thinking about dinner plans and then boom-these gorgeous flowers gathered up all of my attention.
I noticed their soft delicate petals; their vibrant aroma which had so beautifully filled my home. I found myself thanking them for their gorgeous presence. I noticed that several in the back were beginning to wither. Even as these beauties fade, their intrinsic qualities are such reminders about life.
We can become so inundated with our lists and routines that we forget to pause and savor the sweetness of life. We might find ourselves in situations of comparison, but the superficial falls away once we re-connect to our interior. This moment is truly the only one that we have. We might seek escape in our next task, from our unwelcomed emotions, from the daily anxieties of living, but acceptance comes from feeling it all. This moment, this body, this life.
As you move through your week, may you pause a bit more and take in the beauty that is all around you. May you stop comparing yourself as you begin to recognize and claim your own light. Embrace your softness. Gather up your grace. Perch a smile on your lips and whisper to the Universe, "I got this!"
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
