A practice that I am adopting this year is one of devotion. I love to choose a word for the year, and this year it is devotion. My heart is devoted to the path, the winding road, the snowy winters, the promises of spring, the heat of summer, and the grace of fall. Throughout the seasons of this year I hope to change and grow in my practice. I hope to cultivate a willingness to let go, to move fearlessly, to love wildly. The practice that has been calling to me is my Yoga practice. On my mat I find the fragments of self, the longing to be different, the compassion to truly listen, the acceptance to move from the inside out, and the grace to cultivate stillness.
My invitation to you on this glorious day is to take note of your resolutions or desires and adopt a practice of living that helps you to change....to grow....and to one day realize that the beginning and ending were woven from the same moment.
As you move forward on your journey, I invite you to experience the words of Buddha, "Believe nothing merely because you have been told it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings -- that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide."
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
