Today on Sweetly Seeking I want to explore the notion of the practices in our lives. I most easily identify to this word as I think of my Yoga practice. To practice as a verb means, "To do or perform habitually, to make a habit of." When this word is broken down, it's contents are vast and apply to a broad spectrum of life. This translation can cross boundaries into our spiritual lives, our emotional lives, our physical lives. We can begin to become the watcher of all practices in our lives. I am truly fascinated by this amazing life that we are engaged with. Every thought is an opportunity for ascension, every action is an occasion to plant seeds of kindness, every smile shared makes way for more peace, every fear defeated unleashes the Divine from within...
As you become the watcher of your practices, or in large part your interactions with life, how do you observe yourself? So much of the time, we find ourselves pushing away the guidance and wisdom that we innately possess. We find ourselves in the wilderness of thought and become small in the stance of the magnificence of nature. If we aren't pushing, we may often times begin pulling. Tugging at the heart of the universe to conspire in a more timely fashion. We grow impatient and lose heart as the fulfillment of our dreams seem so far away. But what if my friends we assume a neutral stance in our dialogue with life? We are endowed with much more courage, lightness, and love in this neutral stance. The desire to flee from the uncomfortable is neutralized, and we may more fully participate in life. There is a symphony of creation in our devotion to the practice of becoming...we greet each day with the posture of opportunity, and as we firmly commit to our practice, we gain momentum and peace for the process itself. This life is not about being perfect, it is about unfolding into the grace of love...YOU are all that you seek:)
May you Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
