Andria's petite physical stature isn't any bigger than a minute, but her spirit and excitement for life are gigantic! As we giggled and caught up over coffee, she reminded that I needed to 'Stop Confusing The Universe.' I felt myself take a big sigh as she said this...What precisely does this mean?
In my life I identify it as saying 'Yes' when I mean 'No' and 'No' when I mean 'Yes.' Do you feel confused yet? I sure do! Confusing the Universe is sending mixed messages about the 'wants' and 'desires' of life. In my life I feel that the Universe is always offering a series of tests. Not the pass or fail kind, just the 'get clear' kind. In this clarity I feel I am able to remain tethered to the initial 'want' or 'desire.'
For instance, if I want to go on a road-trip to Flordia and allow myself 2 days of travel time, I'll more than likely chart my course so that I travel there most efficiently (Plan A). If however my time frame extends to 5 travel days, I might make some stops along the way. (Plan B) Plan A leads to a destination just as Plan B does, but what is my goal? Efficiency is Plan A, and adventure is Plan B. I'll arrive at my destination, but how do I want to get there?
Mary Oliver so beautifully encourages us to ask this rich and stirring question, "Tell me, what do you plan to do with this one wild and precious life?"
As you begin your week, what is it exactly that you plan to do with this one wild and precious life of yours? I invite you to get clear about your 'wants' and 'desires.' In your day to day activities are you confusing the universe? Are you living in alignment? Do you want to take Plan A, but feel like others are influencing you to chose Plan B? Say Yes when you mean it and No when you don't. This life is yours for the living!! The more clearly you converse with the Universe and the divine presence supporting you, the more in alignment you become.
Have fun my friends:)
May You Sweetly Seek,
In Gratitude,
