As I pulled out of the car wash, and the sun streamed through my newly clean windows- I had an epiphany!! I stopped my car and paused. As I pulled down my sunglasses, I noticed that I could see! "Holy wow!!" There was no maneuvering around the splotches on my windshield. My sight stretched out in front of my so clearly. I didn't have to break my neck searching for a clear spot to see out from.
My dirty car windows became a reminder for me. At times life can become so steeped with old beliefs, old patterns, old bugs--that we get used to the 'old shit' that clutters up our vision. Somewhere along the way perhaps we took on the mindset that we need to be okay with the life circumstances that impede our forward progression....maybe we even deserve them? Perhaps we have taken on the belief that these hindrances are there to slow us down? Maybe as our sight is jammed up, we think we have to settle for the way things are. As Abraham Maslow reminds us, "In any given moment we have two options; to step forward into growth or to stay back into safety." It's sometimes terrifying to move forward, but how many roadblocks have we constructed to keep ourselves safe? How do we work against ourselves? I always look to nature for wisdom. What would a flower say, "Bloom baby bloom!!!" Cause that's just what we are designed to do!
I'm here to remind you just as my windshield reminded me, LIVE without obstructions! Love without judgement. Practice kindness like it's your job! Make a date with 'self-care' daily! Explore like you're part of Lewis and Clark! Be abundant like Bill Gates. Believe like Mother Theresa. Fly through your life like a butterfly! Seek out new adventures that excite your heart and challenge you to step forward in growth!
Who knew a clean windshield could inspire so much!?
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
