As you start your week and set your goals, how will you know when you have reached a 'successful' stance with your goals? Success can be defined as, "The favorable or prosperous attempts or endeavors, the accomplishment of one's goals. The attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like."
The favorable or prosperous attempts...what are you attempting in your life right now? How would you proceed if you knew that success was guaranteed to you? How many times have you attempted success, and would you feel more inclined to do so if you felt the support of those who have gone before you cheering you on? I watch my niece and her successful attempts to create favorable moments for herself. She thrives in the new climate of her life. I listen to a friend of mine create a new business as she marches into the 60th year of her life. Questioning herself, but also searching to attain even greater service goals than she did in her last position. I hear from another friend who has decided to move her family across the globe because she is willing to create a wealthier atmosphere for her family- a different culture which will create a richness that her family couldn't experience in their current location. I have a friend who is circling the globe in the hopes of landing at a residency program that will allow him the opportunity to practice Integrative Medicine. And I also have another friend who is contemplating having a baby on her own because she feels that at this point in her life, that would truly make her realize a success that she has only ever dreamed of.
My circle is busy attracting success because they are attractively pursuing opportunities to better themselves and the world around them. To me, success is about serving. Taking care of our bodies. Honoring our energy. Cultivating our definition of love. Discovering our strengths. Allowing ourselves to be flexible so that we can discover what success means to us. Sharing our unique gifts with the world. I invite you to create your own definition of success. Live and love from this definition.
