The forward by this dynamic couple briefly introduces their backgrounds. Rich was addicted to fast food and 80 hour work weeks, while his wife who was raised in Alaska flourished in more organic ways. Throughout her life she has been dedicated to her Yoga practice, enjoyed culinary endeavors, and artistic expressions.
Rich professed to being a couch potato at one point in his life, and then transforming himself into an Ultraman who competed in championships as well as being named one of the "25 Fittest Men in the World" by Men's Fitness.
