With that intention close in my heart, I drew the card, Bamboo Moon. This deck by Alana Fairchild is a gorgeous synthesis of artistic expression and poetic musings. The image had a beautiful woman nestled into the sliver of the moon. In this image she was simply resting, not pushing or pulling to be there, but surrendered into the radiance of the moon. As I looked into the oracle guidebook for the message I was blown away with gratitude.
I don't know about you, but sometimes in my humanness I get impatient, sometimes I feel like a victim, sometimes I feel like is this 'thing' ever going to happen, and the litany of mind wonderings goes on and on. When I get quiet and connect to the magic of the Universe and the divine countenance of Spirit, I am again reminded of the wonder. This morning was no different.
The oracle card brought medicine to my heart. If you have never heard the story of Chinese Bamboo Tree, I encourage you to use it as a metaphor in your life. We are invited to notice the growing pattern of the Chinese Bamboo tree. It requires nuturing, but in the first year, there are no visible signs of growth even though we water it, offer it fertile soil and splashes of sunlight.
Again, the second year, no growth above the soil.
The third, fourth year...no signs of anything happening.
Perhaps we begin to wonder if our efforts are in vain? Do we continue to nurture and care for this plant that is showing no observable signs of growth? How does this translate back into our own lives? What have we been nurturing without fail and persistence? If we are to continue caring, will this tree and our dreams finally flourish?
And assuredly the FIFTH YEAR....MAGIC!!! The Chinese Bamboo Tree grows 80 feet tall in just six weeks!!!
And just maybe it's the FIFTH YEAR of your life that the alchemy becomes evident? Not a moment too soon, and not a moment too late. We are so divinely guided and held, what if we brought this sureness to our lives?
Trust my loves that the TRUE desires and dreams are on their way. Keep watering, keep offering affirmations, continue trusting in the fertile soil of your life. Love even after it hurts. Have a good belly laugh. Hang around kids. Delight in the sunshine and keep your heart towards the sky. Offer it all up, and then watch as your life grows to magnanimous heights!
May You Sweetly Seek:),
In Gratitude,
Sarah
