As I look to the great thinkers and leaders of our time, I want to know their moments of self reflection. I want to know what gets them out of bed in the morning, and what keeps them engaged in fully living their lives. Tony Robbins says you are the top three people that you hang around. How are the top three people in your life living? Are these inner circle peeps thriving or simply surviving? Do you notice a commonality that these folks are living THEIR lives? There is a big difference between thriving and surviving. I have such a belief in my heart that we are meant to thrive. There is only ONE of you, and gosh darn, that's pretty amazing!!!
It can become all too easy to mold ourselves into the constructs of those around us. We can get tangled up in others expectations and dreams for our lives. We can lose sight of our vision because it doesn't appear to fit into the 'practical' model of living. But I challenge you to rock your own boat....write out your values and beliefs about living. Create questions that challenge you and incite growth. Stand on the shore of your heart and gaze upon the territory of your life. This view, it's yours to admire. This view will hopefully inspire you to live life fully; not someone else's life, but your life.
One of the great thinkers of our time is Steve Jobs. I stumbled upon this quote that he asked himself everyday upon waking, "'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' If the Answer is 'no' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."
Don't be afraid of rocking the boat my loves. This is your one wild and precious life...live it in the most extraordinary ways possible. Gather up your courage and move through your fears. Feast on love. Delight in joy. Embrace your sorrows. Share your emotions. Be vulnerable. When you live this way, you inspire others to do the same.
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
