I love that Tony dedicates at least 10 minutes in the morning to 'Priming the Self.' If we don't fill the tender spaces of our hearts with gratitude, love, joy, etc., how can we offer these qualities to others? Stephen Covey reminds us, “Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.” Create the time to honor the sacredness of your life!
As you peer into your life today, what are three things that you are grateful for? Tony suggests spending 3.5 minutes with gratitude as the central focus. He is quick to point out that in any situation, we cannot be angry or fearful if we are grateful. He then moves into another three minute interval called 'Three to Thrive.' What are three outcomes that you are committed to seeing as completed over the next 6-12 months?
He closes this exercise with the question, "How do I love more?" He encourages the viewers to remember that 'love' is an action. As you peer into your own life, how can you add another scoop of love into your life today?
