These two gorgeous men sang with devotion, swayed with love and inspired a room of people to meditate on the essentials of life. Love. Time. Praise. Devotion.
As Trevor shared the news of his upcoming album, due out in Aug 2015- he recounted the inspiration for KALA. In Hinduism, time is known as kala. Kala takes on a dual meaning as it symbolizes both time and death. In the Hindu culture, time is perceived as cyclical. Time takes on a dualistic nature as it is viewed as limited, and in the next breath eternal. In a spiritual context, time is a present companion of living in a state of duality, but vanishes when we drop into a state of unity. What an interesting notion. Can you compassionately notice where you spend most of your time? Do you reside in duality, or have you surrendered into pockets of unity? It becomes a beautiful practice of being curious.
Trevor recounted the muse for his newest album- Time. A decisive conversation with his aging grandma planted the seed of time in his consciousness. As they talked, she said easily asserted, "Isn't time such a wonderful gift." From this seed, a new mantra formed in his life. After their conversation, time became the focus of his meditations. He began to assert that:
TIME= Space
TIME= Growth
TIME= Cyclical nature
Over the past year he noticed how time held spaces of clarity for he and his wife. He began to notice the Divine timing amidst the apparent chaos of his physical health.
He belted out a new tune from this upcoming album. "You can't rush your healing. Darkness has its teachings. Love is never leaving."
May you be inspired today to be ever grateful for the time you have.
Invest it your actions.
Invest it in love.
Invest it in understanding.
Invest it in surrender.
Meditate on it's presence in your life. Look up. Love all. May find more pockets of unity on this glorious day!
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
