~Ram Dass
I settle in to review my daily to-do lists, reassess my Christmas lists and simply pause in the splendor of the quiet. I feel now more than ever a pull to live more intentionally? Can you feel that same pull in your life? I allow my mind to drift in daydream to what this looks like. I see myself engaged in enriching conversations, participating in 'work' that brings about passion, loving in ways that are not limited or confined. Presence brings about a certain element of bliss. It's not about the presents that we offer to those we love or the world, it seems that it is our presence that matters most.
I have heard this notion before, but as the season of Christmas draws near I feel the need for presence in an even greater way. I want to be present to experience the joys around and within me. I desire an even more aware presence to love those who are right in front of me. I want to savor our time together as I savor sunsets.
As you perhaps gaze into your own life this season, how can you create more presence? Perhaps it's pausing with a cup of tea and feeling gratitude for this moment. Maybe it's making a time to celebrate with a dear friend and showing up fully to engage with them. Or just maybe it's knowing when you need some self care time and allowing yourself to disengage so that you can re-engage?
In this season of our lives, may we offer our presence as the most delightful gift:).
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
