“Let us be silent, that we may hear the whisper of God,”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Do you have a favorite poet or poem?
These verses of inspiration remind me to stay connected, to live more fully in the present moment, and some days, to simply breathe. It’s all too easy to become disconnected with the regular routine of living. How many times throughout the day are you aware of the richness of your breath? The beating of your heart? The softness of your smile? The touch of your feet upon the Earth?
We often organize our presence into distraction and trance. Perhaps we get caught up in the past or fixated on the future. If you stop and think about it for a second, how often do you surrender the controls of your life and switch over to autopilot mode?
I have learned, when in doubt, BREATHE! Breathing sounds simple enough, but sometimes a visual reminder can be very helpful!
Another visual reminder I adore is a tattoo on my wrist. This tattoo is a simple whimsical bird with the words Fly Free surrounding it. Every time I look down at my wrist, the freedom region of my heart and mind light up. I find my breath again and in the richness of my breath I find freedom and expansion. I’m not advocating you get a tattoo, although I am a fan of these stories that we weave onto our bodies. I’m simply focusing on the power of presence. Visual reminders are wonderful opportunities to tap into our unlimited possibilities.
As you gaze around your space today, what visual reminders are currently causing you to tap into the unlimited possibilities of your life?
May You Sweetly Seek:)
In Gratitude,
Sarah
