Most of the time you will find my nose buried in school work or a psychology book.
I'm not a civil engineer or an oil tycoon, I am a Yoga teacher and a prolific writer.
I drive a Subaru and sometimes enjoy giving trees a hug; although that's not a requirement.
I'm not bound by a party line, I prefer to intently listen to all sides.
I'm not interested in who is cool, I want to know who is real.
I don't subscribe to bullshit as frequently anymore, truth seems more fitting these days.
I'm a work in progress, but I am committed to doing my work.
Sometimes when I can't understand the happenings of the world I write.
I'm a Capricorn, so I totally get the grounding vibe of Mother Earth.
I adore the constellations of Father Sky.
I see the reverence and respect in the systems of the Earth.
How they synchronistically work with one another;
the sun radiates life and every living being soaks up the rays of glory.
Trees provide shelter, water cleanses, winds bring change, rains bring relief, fields bring harvests, bulbs bring flowers, snow brings magic, light brings life, darkness brings rest.
I love fall, and summer, and spring, and winter; these are the seasons of our lives.
Today my heart is feeling tender and full of tears.
Raw with angst and clouded with grief.
I can't make sense of this disrespect.
I sit with compassion.
I sit with anger.
I sit with love.
But today I stand.
I stand with the people of Standing Rock.
